Bob founded All Star Financial after beginning his money management career in 1982, first at Northwest National Bank and Trust in Minneapolis, then at State Bond Mortgage and Trust Company. He later helped build the successful money management firm Webb, Markman and Klefsaas before starting Robert J. Klefsaas Investment Advisors in 1987, which was rebranded as All Star Financial in 1992. Bob loves to help people discover ways to reach their financial goals while taking less risk in their portfolios. Bob takes seriously his commitment to helping his clients manage their wealth in a prudent and constructive way.
Bob earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics with a concentration in Finance from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. He holds a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, which is helpful in meeting the needs of individual investors. In addition, Bob has earned the designation of Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF), important in helping All Star deliver services to corporate plans. Bob has also earned the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) designation, which is helpful in providing financial advice to individuals going through a divorce.
Bob has a passion for baseball and after coaching for 35 years he still loves to play the game. Golfing, biking, attending concerts and traveling are some of his other favorite hobbies. Bob has three children and five grandchildren that he loves being “Papa” to and spending time with.
