WELCOME – Meet Our Newest Team Members
JOHN SHEVLIN, Account Executive
John joined the All Star team in September 2015 as an Account Executive. In his role, John will focus on creating a client-centric experience in which he can apply honesty, service, communication, and teamwork as the guiding principles in helping people plan and achieve their financial goals. Prior to joining All Star, John worked in the healthcare industry as a medical device sales consultant for DePuy Synthes Spine in the Twin Cities and Rochester.
Born and raised in Minnesota, John attended the University of Minnesota where he received both his undergraduate and master’s degree. While on campus, John was a member of the Golden Gopher Football team, starting for three years at linebacker and serving as team captain in his senior season. John currently lives in Saint Louis Park and enjoys maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. Within the community he serves as a mentor for Bolder Options and as a board member for the Minnesota Chapter of the National Football Foundation.
MICHELE LENZ, Client Associate
Michele joined the All Star Team in August 2015 and serves as a Client Associate. In her role, she works with our clients and our custodians to execute account related requests.
Michele has had a variety of experiences in financial services. She developed a passion for Personal Finance while interning at a wealth management firm in Madison. For 2 years, she also worked in Business Development/Community Outreach at UW Credit Union. During this time, she managed a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site, which offers low-income individuals and families free tax preparation.
Serving others and providing financial education have been integral parts of Michele’s life. She tutored numerous student-athletes while in college and volunteered with Junior Achievement weekly in elementary school classrooms. One of her greatest accomplishments was assisting in the development of three Financial Literacy courses offered at the University of Wisconsin.
Michele received her Bachelor’s Degree in Personal Finance and Business from University of Wisconsin- Madison. She was a part of the CFP® Certification program within the University of Wisconsin and plans on sitting for the exam early next year. A Wisconsin native, Michele, recently moved to Minnesota and is residing in St. Louis Park. Michele is a self-proclaimed yogi and enjoys practicing yoga, traveling the globe with her friends, and “Jumping Around” at Camp Randall Stadium.
